The Root Foundation is building an integrated community ecosystem in Baton Rouge focused on family stability, youth leadership, and workforce opportunity.

Baton Rouge faces interconnected challenges that affect families, youth, employers, and neighborhoods alike. Workforce instability, youth disengagement, family crisis, and limited access to opportunity are often treated as separate problems when in reality they are deeply connected.
The Root Foundation exists to address these challenges at their root.

The Root Foundation is building a coordinated ecosystem that helps individuals and families stabilize, grow, and connect to opportunity. Our work is centered around three core areas:
Family Stability
Supporting families through crisis navigation, resource connection, and life-skills support.
Youth Leadership
Developing young people through mentorship, leadership-building, and positive pathways.
Workforce Opportunity
Preparing individuals for employment and long-term success through readiness and retention support.

Our long-term vision is the Drop-In Family & Community Campus (DIFACC), a future integrated hub designed to bring family support, youth programming, workforce development, and community opportunity together in one place.
We are currently building the partnerships, strategy, and support needed to bring this vision to life.

The Root Foundation is seeking community partners, employers, philanthropic supporters, and public-sector collaborators who believe Baton Rouge deserves stronger pathways to stability and opportunity.
